Amazon records a referral for a limited window after a click, which means a commission can be paid on items bought in that window even when they are not the coffee maker you clicked through for. How Commissions Affect What We Write
They do not. Our assessments are written from manufacturer specifications, retailer listing data and published owner feedback, and a product does not get a kinder write up because its commission rate is higher. Where a listing contradicts itself or a specification looks wrong, we say so on the page, including on products we link to and stand to earn from.
We do not accept payment from a brand in exchange for coverage, a rating or a placement, and no manufacturer gets to approve a page before it is published.
What This Site Does Not Claim
We want to be equally plain about the other side of it. IdealCoffeeShop.com does not buy, test or physically handle the products it writes about. Nothing here should be read as a report of our own use of a machine, a laboratory measurement or a quality inspection. We describe what the manufacturer publishes, what the retail listing states and what owner reviews commonly report, and we label which is which.
