It is not stated whether the clock setting survives a power interruption, which determines whether the timer needs resetting after every trip of the kitchen circuit. Nothing describes what happens if the timer fires while the carafe is missing.
Who It Suits
This suits a household that brews a full pot, wants it ready at a set time, and would rather put the carafe and basket in the dishwasher than wash them by hand. The three way brew selector covers both a strong pot and a small one, which makes it more flexible across the week than the two setting machines in the same range. The Hamilton Beach 46220 is the larger machine with the same style of panel.
Look elsewhere if your machine has to live under a wall cabinet, where the front filling 46310 is the better answer, or if counter width is tight, where the 46200 is narrower.
