The caveat is that on machines with pressurised baskets the gauge reads the pressure created by the basket’s restrictor rather than by the coffee itself, which mutes the signal considerably. Gevi supplies 51 mm single and double baskets without stating whether they are pressurised. If they are, the gauge is more decorative than diagnostic, and swapping to a non pressurised basket is what makes it genuinely useful.
Pre Infusion and NTC Temperature Control
Pre infusion applies water at low pressure for a short period before the pump ramps up, allowing the puck to swell and settle so that full pressure meets an evenly wetted bed. It reduces channelling, and on a machine that will often be fed slightly inconsistent doses it is a meaningful addition. The listing does not state the pre infusion duration or whether it can be adjusted.
Temperature is handled by an NTC thermistor rather than a PID loop. That is a step below the PID control on machines such as the HiBREW H10B, which exposes an adjustable extraction temperature. NTC control holds a fixed setpoint reasonably well and does not let the operator change it. No temperature figure is published for this machine.
Milk, Steam and Hot Water
A manual steam wand handles milk, with a removable froth nozzle for cleaning, which is the detail that decides whether a cheap wand stays usable. Cup Warmer, Auto Shut Off and Power Behaviour

The ECMG0 suits a learner who wants feedback rather than a sealed appliance, and who has narrow counter space. A pressure gauge, pre infusion and adjustable shot volume at this price give someone a way to understand what changes when they change the grind, which is the difference between improving and guessing. Pairing it with a burr grinder and a non pressurised basket unlocks most of what it can do. The similarly sized CASABREWS CM5418 is the closest direct comparison. The Spacekey CM5080 adds PID temperature control at a similar size.
It is a poor fit for anyone making several milk drinks in a row, given the steam limitations, or for anyone who wants a machine that simply produces a drink without involvement.
