With a capsule, the dose and the grind are fixed by the manufacturer, so the only variable left is your pumping. The result is more consistent from cup to cup even if the ceiling is lower than well ground fresh coffee can reach.
The other advantage is cleanup. A used capsule is dropped in a bin; a used puck of grounds has to be knocked out and the basket rinsed, then dried before it goes back in a bag. In a hotel room, a car or a tent that difference is larger than it sounds. The trade is running cost: capsules cost several times what loose coffee costs per drink, which is the same arithmetic that applies to any capsule system.

What It Does Not Solve
The adapter changes what goes into the device. It changes nothing else, and the Nanopresso's two real limitations remain. There is no milk frothing, no steam and no mechanism that could produce either, so cappuccinos and lattes are only possible if you heat and froth milk separately.
The water chamber still holds one drink. A second cup means a full refill and reload, and published owner feedback commonly notes that the standard tank is small enough to be the main constraint, with WACACO selling a larger tank accessory separately to address it. The adapter does not increase capacity. Temperature is also unchanged: an unheated hand pump pours hot water into a cold metal chamber, and preheating by running hot water through the assembled device before loading makes a substantial difference. The standard WACACO Nanopresso is the device the adapter fits.
It suits you poorly if you do not already own a Nanopresso, in which case the bundle is the cheaper route. It suits you poorly if you use Vertuo capsules, which will not fit.
